Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering
I am a fifth year Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University, receiving my doctorate in materials science and mechanical engineering in May of 2024. My research has covered a range of topics including mechanics, electronics, materials, haptics, and robotics and has involved the design, fabrication, finite element analysis (FEA), and testing of a range of mechanical and electrical devices. Some projects I have lead include the building of artificial muscles, variable stiffness devices, electromechanical-based actuators, pumps, optically controlled actuators, and bioinspired swimming devices.
I have been involved in hands-on, technical research for nearly 10 years between my work at Harvard University, Northwestern University, and the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, I was awarded the prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
